Seawork International, which takes place from 16-18 June 2015, is the largest international commercial marine and workboat exhibition and conference held in a European working port environment.

Attracting more than 7,000 high calibre visitors from over 53 countries across the globe, Seawork is where buyers, sellers, innovators and legislators come together for three invaluable days, every year, at one incomparable location – the Port of Southampton in the UK.

The IIMS as part of its involvement with the Small Craft Surveyors Forum is involved in helping to organise several presentations that are open for anyone to attend free of charge and will take place on Wednesday 17 June.

Ocean Business celebrates most successful show yet

ob photoThe recent Ocean Business show at the National Oceanography Centre (NOC) in Southampton was phenomenally successful, with visitor numbers up an incredible 29%, taking attendance to 4,589 visitors. With all four previous shows brimming with visitors from all over the world, it’s hard to believe it could get any better, but the show delivered everything it promised for face-to-face interaction between exhibitors and customers.

The Singapore Yacht Show takes place from 23-26 April, with an incredible line-up of the most luxurious superyachts, boats, international lifestyle brands and superyacht industry leaders.

Organisers have just announced that the 69-metre Australian-built M/Y Saluzi, the largest permanently based yacht available for charter in Asia, will be on display at the Show. Recently refitted, the former luxury cruise ship, is the product of remarkable engineering and vision, designed to offer a truly unique floating vacation home for exploring Asian waters.

Named after the mystical warhorse of Tang Dynasty Emperor Taizong that, according to legend, despite being wounded in battle by an arrow amidst fierce fighting, the valiant super-powered horse unflinchingly delivered the Emperor back to safety. The artwork of ? the horse on the exterior of the yacht has been specially created by the artist, Li Jiwei as a modern interpretation of the ancient tale and in his own words Saluzi is “an expression of both East and West, a blending of spirituality and materiality.”

In a surprise move it has been announced that the 2015 Antibes Yacht Show has been cancelled.

The 2015 Antibes Yacht Show that was scheduled to take place from 23-26 April in Port Vauban has been cancelled.

During a recent meeting of the Association de Soutien à l’Aménagement et aux activités du Port d’Antibes (ASAP), the president reported that he had been informed by telephone that the Antibes Yacht Show Director would not be running the even t in 2015. The president asked the ASAP to run an event because the economic value of the event to the local econmoy should not be under estimated.

Having made its debut in 2013, the Palma Superyacht Show, in partnership with MYBA, is now a firm fixture on the yachting calendar. Running concurrently with the 32nd Boat Show Palma, this Mediterranean season opener takes place from 30 April to 4 May 2015.
