The Marine Accident Investigation Branch is establishing a new web location on the main GOV.UK website

The Marine Accident Investigation Branch, which investigates marine accidents involving UK vessels worldwide and all vessels in UK territorial waters, is moving to a new web location from 1 April 2015. Existing subscribers may find they are unable to access the new location, or could experience problems logging in.

In a statement about the change, the Marine Accident Investigation Branch Publications team said;

‘Following our news item last year regarding the move of the Marine Accident Investigation Branch website to GOV.UK, we are now able to confirm that this will take place on Wednesday 1st April. We aim to provide easy access to all of our existing content and will continue to work to make the new site as effective and efficient as possible. Any existing links you have saved as favourites should redirect to the new site. In line with the approach taken on the rest of GOV.UK, from time to time you will see changes as we add new features or remove those which our research shows us are not used. We would like to draw your attention to a new subscription feature which allows you to tailor the type of email alerts you wish to receive from us whenever we add new content to the site. Unfortunately it has not been possible to automatically add the email addresses for our existing subscribers; we would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. There are two ways you can sign up to receive information from us: For general news, including publication of safety digests, annual reports and safety flyers, you can add your details to our subscription page. To receive alerts whenever we publish a new investigation report or safety bulletin, we have a dedicated service which allows you to tailor your areas of interest. We appreciate feedback from all visitors as it helps us to improve our site. If you do find anything that doesn’t work as you would expect, please could you raise it with us by visiting the ‘is there anything wrong with this page’ link located on each of our web pages. We hope this transition will be as smooth as possible but ask you to bear with us should you encounter any temporary issues while this work is underway.’
