– Unified Interpretations: Consistent interpretations of IMO convention requirements applied uniformly by IACS Members on behalf of authorizing flag Administrations, unless otherwise instructed.
– Procedural Requirements: Guidelines for collaboration and practices among IACS Members.
– Recommendations: Resolutions offering guidance on topics outside Class but beneficial to the marine industry.
– Quality Documents: Covering the QSCS (Quality System Certification Scheme), Quality Management System Requirements, – Audit Requirements, ACB (Accredited Certification Bodies) standards, and related procedures.
– IACS Charter and Procedures: Defining the Association’s purpose, objectives, and working framework.

The IACS 2025 Blue Book and its resources are essential for ship designers, consultants, shipbuilders, classification societies, shipowners, insurers, flag States, port authorities, and others in the maritime sector.
