As an independent third-party inspection company Geo Therm Ltd prides itself with performing condition monitoring inspections across the globe, to-date surveying in over 40 countries, as far north as the Arctic Circle to as far south as the Falkland Islands. The company has been supporting the offshore energy sector since 2002 with their inspection surveys to aid fleet with their safe systems of work remits, preventative maintenance, and regulatory commitments.

With the successful LR service approval occurring in late February and the ABS recognised specialist accreditation occurring in late June, Geo Therm Ltd is now able to employ its latest raft of non-invasive inspection technologies to identify vessel deficiencies that, if left unchecked, can lead to electrical breakdowns, engine room fires and watertight integrity loss at hatch and door enclosures.
The inspection techniques undertaken by Geo Therm Ltd are known amongst vessel technical superintendents and chief engineers, with the LR or ABS approved service supplier status providing the additional company credibility whenever documenting findings, to comply with Classification prerequisites, SOLAS and the Load Line Convention. Furthermore, their comprehensive detailed reports facilitate the vessel safety management system as referred to in the ISM Code.
Inspection services utilising FLIR thermal imagers, Cygnus Hatch Sure ultrasonic emitter and high frequency listening devices enable the Geo Therm Ltd IIMS marine surveyors to see and hear above the human sensory range, allowing diagnosis and pinpoint detection accuracy for early failure modes within electrical switchgear, poorly insulated exhaust systems and watertight seals. Identification of failing systems enable vessel management to implement timely corrective actions before an outage, engine room fire or stability issue at sea occurs.
