Your host and presenter for this seminar is Karen Brain, Matrix Insurance Ltd, who is well known to many IIMS members and who runs an IIMS approved scheme.

In this online seminar, surely of interest to all surveyors from anywhere in the world, Karen will look at exactly what the surveyor’s duty of care is. She will apply some cautionary tales, largely based on historic case law by way of evidence. Karen will also expand upon and give practical guidelines to among other things:
– never give opinion as a favour – don’t do favours
– stay professional at all times
– where applicable use necessary caveats

Who should attend this seminar?
This seminar is aimed at yacht and small craft as well as commercial ship marine surveyors and will serve as a timely reminder of the responsibilities of a surveyor.
