The first of two IIMS Certifying Authority training days planned for 2015 will be held at Trafalgar Wharf (opposite the IIMS head office) on 13 May. It was agreed to go outside and get dirty this time. So the team has arranged a lengthy session of practical stability activities. It is planned to to do some heel testing and inclining experiments in the morning and immediately after lunch. Then off to the classroom to discuss the findings and to get a brief update on the MCA. The full programme of the day is as below.

09.30 hrs Welcome and introduction
10.00 hrs Practical stability work including motor vessel heel test and freeboard measurement, RIB stability and damage tests, inclining experiment and a boat yard walk through.
12.30 hrs Buffet lunch
13:00 hrs Practical stability work continuing
14:15 hrs Boat yard walk through
14:45 hrs Classroom discussion on the morning’s findings and activities
15:45 hrs Presentation following the MCA CA BCC meeting
16:00 hrs SCV1, SCV2 and WB2 – issues with successful completion
16:30 hrs Close and depart
