John Noble spent about 40 years in the marine surveying business, from running his own business (Murray Fenton and Associates Limited), based in London, to 5 years as head of The Salvage Association following its acquisition by BMT.

John attended over 60 major casualties (BRAER, SEA EMPRESS, ERIKA, for example).  Involvement in these casualties often lead to dealing with matters of causation and gathering evidence.  In addition, John acted as an expert witness on about 70 cases in a number of jurisdictions. (UK, USA, Canada, Sudan, UAE and Sweden to list a few.)

John was the technical editor in three appropriate publications:

Casualty Management Guidelines  (2012)

Guidelines for Collecting Maritime Evidence Volume 1  (2016)

Guidelines for Collecting Maritime Evidence Volume 2  (2019)

There is a wealth of background that will be available to contribute to the webinar and deal with questions arising.

John retains an active interest in the topic and is assisting the legal representatives in a number of on-going cases.
